Summary:
Overall responsibility of maintenance department. Manage the service and repair all plant equipment and utilities, maintain good working knowledge of building information, maintain inventory of maintenance parts and supplies; schedule and expedite duties in accordance with the facilities needs. Responsibilities:
Maintain machinery for maximum efficiency by providing technical expertise to troubleshoot and make repairs to minimize downtime and ensure safe operations; provide hands-on assistance or leadership in conducting the needed repairs/upgrades. Oversee plant building facilities to include:
chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, fire protection systems, plumbing, etc to maintain optimal working conditions. Champion Safety culture by ensuring compliance with applicable training requirement, meeting stated KMI (CAPA, Near Misses. Observations), assisting with Risk Assessments; addressing on-going EHS Framework action items; adherence to NRTHA guidelines and modeling behavior in compliance with stated safety rules/guidelines. Prioritize, direct and coordinate the daily activities of Maintenance team members; outline on-call schedule for department including self on-call availability when situation escalates beyond Maintenance Techs skill sets. Perform annual performance review of Maintenance team; provide on-going coaching and feedback for maintenance staff; identify and coordinate technical training needs of personnel, ie LOTO, Arc Flash, Hot Work/Electrical. Promote strong teamwork and collaborative environment for team to thrive and accomplish departmental and plant goals. Review and approve departmental work punches and time off requests in applicable systems. Drive cost savings around utility reductions, machine efficiency, and process improvements. Collaborate with others on the generation and execution of capital projects. Submit and manage departmental budget to delineate waste and drive fiscal responsibility. Manage Contractor Compliance Program; Coordinate projects with Contractors with input from Production and Scheduling to ensure no undue constraints on production and delivery commitments. Enhance PM (preventative and predictive) programs where needed to minimize machine downtime and preventable repairs; maintain appropriate records and provide feedback on variations to stated timeline. Facilitate ordering and maintaining accurate inventory of parts needed for work assignments through JDE system for MRO materials. Follows all Berry GMP and Safe Working Policies. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, securing all required permits; possess understanding of regulatory codes and standards. Performs other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager. Qualifications
Qualifications:
Strong mechanical and electrical skills to include knowledge of electrical maintenance, welding/fabrication, machining, hydraulics/pneumatics, preventative maintenance, trouble shooting and other directly related maintenance functions. 2 yr degree / certification in plant/building maintenance; engineering, or some related field 5
years of manufacturing leadership experience Ability to foster team cooperation Possess excellent verbal and written communicate skills Working knowledge of PC (Email, Word Applications, and AS/400 and Web-based databases) Requires constant walking, climbing, reaching, kneeling, crawling and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; sometimes working in extreme temperatures.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Plant & Facilities ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
