Linux Administrator
General Description;
The Linux Administrator role provides Level One/Two support to the organization for all Linux systems. The successful candidate will work with engineering partners to implement, monitor, triage and repair issues that arise on the Linux systems and coordinate with vendors/partners on supporting infrastructure. This position requires operational experience supporting Linux in an enterprise environment.
Role and
Responsibilities:
Administration and support of complex Linux environments that may include segmented networks, firewalls and SAN attached storage.
Automation on Linux using Ansible or bash scripting.
Develop, document, and communicate solutions for operational issues in the Linux environment to include users, permissions, systems stability, incident response and problem resolution.
Providing infrastructure support for the following relational databases: Oracle, Open Source DBs (MySQL, Postgres, Mongo).
Optimizing existing computing resources to meet application needs.
Providing capacity planning recommendations based on metrics to help establish and maintain standards, uniform procedures, and 24/7 service levels across all computing platforms.
Introduce ideas for process improvement.
Provide technical consultation to various groups within the organization.

Excellent architecture and technical support documentation skills.
Strong interpersonal and consultative skills.
Technical Qualifications and Requirements:
1-3 years supporting UNIX/Linux based server environments utilizing SAN attached storage
1-3 years of experience building and supporting servers in a virtual environment.
Experience with data protection and server hardening.
Experience working within an ITIL framework preferred.
Experience working in a PCI-compliant and/or PHI environment is a plus.
Experience with Windows administration to include Active Directory a plus.
Supporting UNIX/Linux systems for Oracle Databases a plus.
Educational Requirements:
Industry certifications, preferably UNIX/Linux related; ITIL a plus.
Associate or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University a plus.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
