Product Engineer
Job Description:
The product engineer designs and develops hydraulic load sense valve components and valve assemblies that meet customer expectations in regard to product cost, safety, quality and performance that complies to Danfoss business expectation. As such, the product engineer is required to complete theoretical analysis, problem solving, and design on load sense valve products.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Completes product design layouts and detailed product documentation of load sense valve components and assemblies as outline in project requests from customers via the inquiry system in a timely manner
Prepares Engineering Change Requests and modifies existing drawings, engineering specifications, test specifications, and bill of materials
Provides detailed instructions to Lab Technicians on performance, durability, and endurance tests, and assists in set up and completion of required tests with documents of test results
Works with Sales and Marketing to identify or confirm customer needs and critical deliverables
Works with Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Quality Department to meet the quality and cost targets for current production products
Willing to challenge and be challenged on existing and new designs, applications, tests, or manufacture process of load sense valve components and assemblies to ensure the highest quality for Danfoss in one or more of the following ways:
Improves the functional capabilities of existing products
Solves functional, applications, or production problems
Conceives new features on new or existing products
Designs new products
Reduces product cost
Solves problems using 8-D, Design of Experiments, and other methodologies. Facilitates Problem Solving Team activities when needed
Prepares and updates Design FMEAs, participate in System and Process FMEAs when needed
Develops thorough product understanding. Stays up-to-date regarding his/her field of engineering and technology relative to Danfoss products
Must comply with all existing ISO 9001 procedures and may be required to write new procedures
Responds with commitment and sensitivity toward satisfying the needs of internal and external customers. Promotes quality and continuous improvement philosophy

Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Agricultural or Electrical Engineering
Required: A minimum of 5 years of related experience in product engineering
Required: To understand and apply engineering principles, education, and applicable technology to engineering work on Danfoss products
Required: The candidate must be able to work in a team atmosphere and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
Required: The candidate must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, be self motivated, and eager to learn about and take over new responsibilities
Desired: Experience in hydraulic component design, preferably with load sense valves
Desired: Knowledge and experience in Unigraphics computer aid design
Desired: Experience in statistical problem solving
Environmental Statement:
Must understand, comply with, and communicate to team members all environmental, heath, and safety legislation and regulation relevant to areas of responsibility. Must also train team members with regard to these regulations where applicable. Must demonstrate a commitment to maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area. Follows safety regulations and actively contributes to work safety.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
