Industry Engineer - Chemical, Oil, & Gas

The qualified candidate will be responsible for applying industrial electric motors, variable speed drives and mechanical power transmission products in the Chemical, Oil, and Gas (COG) field. The candidate must be able to work well with customers to provide technical oriented solutions for production facilities and OEMs with a strong focus on AC motors, drives and mechanical power transmission products. Candidate must be able to help customers solve complex reliability problems by assisting customers with Root Cause Failure Analysis. The candidate will provide hands-on, industry-specific training to both internal and external customers. The industry engineer will work directly with customer engineers, consulting engineers and OEM customers. The industry engineer will participate in key industry organizations such as the American Petroleum Institute (API) and the IEEE Petroleum and Chemical Industry Committee (PCIC). The industry engineer will be responsible for representing the company on key industry technical specification committees in these organizations as well as develop and present technical papers and key industry conferences. The position requires the ability to travel up to 30%.
