This position is responsible for the investigation, optimization and validation of assembly and inspection processes and custom machines developed by the Equipment Development Group. A person filling this job contributes significantly to the Equipment Development Group's mission to support the optimization of manufacturing technology, equipment, and assets in our worldwide manufacturing facilities

Responsibilities and Deliverables:
Develop and carry out design of experiments to investigate and optimize manufacturing processes used in automatic and semi-automatic manufacturing of Company Bearings products;
Conceptualize and prototype novel devices and machines for implementation in manufacturing processes and equipment;
Use Six Sigma tools and techniques for manufacturing process problem solving and improvement implementation;
Support Quality Gate and equipment validation activities for all equipment produced by the Equipment Development Group (run-off, plant installation/validation of machines, plant installation/validation of manufacturing lines);
Recommend process and equipment improvements based on findings of root cause analysis;
Use industrial engineering techniques to optimize operator/machine interaction; develop standard work instructions and combination tables, develop operator documentation;
Provide plant support as needed, both remotely and on-site, to identify/investigate problems and recommend/implement improvements;
Manage own project tasks and activities to meet project schedule and budget goals;


Mechanical or industrial engineering degree (BSME or BSIE)
Completed coursework in the principles and science of probability and statistics

Past experience must have afforded candidate the opportunity to have:
Knowledge of statistics as related to process control
Experience with statistical software
Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems with automated equipment in manufacturing facilities

Other desirable skills and experience:
Knowledge of statistics as related to process control
Experience with Six Sigma tools and activities
Knowledge of mechanical design of equipment in 3D
Knowledge of machine controls design
Knowledge and experience with non-destructive testing technologies (e.g., eddy current, vision)
Knowledge of automatic assembly & inspection processes and machines
Experience with Pro Engineer, AutoCAD or other computer-aided design software

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
