POSITION SUMMARY
Supervise the initiation of collection calls to payers, patients, doctor's offices or employers on assigned accounts to obtain payment. Oversee that the necessary information is obtained and submitted to payers for payment of the claim.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The following qualifications are the minimum necessary to adequately perform this job. However, any equivalent combination of experience, education and training which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities would be acceptable, subject to any legal and/or regulatory requirements.
1. High School Diploma; Associates Degree preferred.
2. 2 years of direct experience in Hospital Billing, Follow-Up or Collections preferred.
3. Must have demonstrated knowledge of collections management.
4. Must have a good understanding of reimbursement methodologies and terms.
5. Must understand payer billing requirements.
6. Must have demonstrated knowledge of industry trends in Managed Care.
7. Work requires familiarity working with contracts and payment rules.
8. Must have demonstrated expertise in insurance, managed care and federal/ state coverage.
9. Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of personal computers and other standard office equipment.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
