duties may include:
Works in a call center environment to identify, diagnose, and resolve problems for users of the company's
systems including hardware, software, network, Internet, phone, and audio-visual technologies.
Logs, routes, and tracks "support
" in the Information Technology Department's work order system.
Responsible for achieving help desk targets
Responsible for streamlining processes
Receives, delivers, and assists in the configuration of end-user PC desktop hardware, software and peripherals.
Coordinates timely
of equipment covered by third-party vendor maintenance agreements.
Performs minor desktop hardware repair for equipment that is not covered by third-party vendor maintenance agreements.
Assists other Information Technology groups in creating and maintaining documentation for systems.
Assists in the enforcement of all policies and procedures promulgated by the Information Technology Department.
Performs certain administrative functions related to the management of the Information Technology Department such as inventory control, communications, and invoice reconciliation.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
