Job Summary Assesses, transports and administers basic and advanced life support treatment to ill and injured persons in accordance with department, system and South Carolina DHEC policies, procedures and standards. Accountabilities Verify Operational Readiness of Vehicles and Equipment - 15% Maintain Cleanliness of MCAS Vehicles - 10% Respond Promptly to Calls Received from the Dispatch Center - 10% Operate MCAS Vehicles in a Safe, Courteous and Efficient Manner - 15% Assess, Monitor, Transport and Provide Necessary Medical Treatment - 15% Prepare Written Documentation in a Complete, Timely and Accurate Manner - 10% Function at a High Level of Efficiency - 5% Demonstrate Skill Proficiency on an Annual Basis - 5% Maintains Professional Certifications by Attending In-service Training Programs - 5% Attends Staff Meetings/Complies with Employee Health Requirements / Completes Mandatory Employee Training Programs - 5% Performs POC testing with approval of Administration - 5% Supervisory/Management Responsibilities This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive. Minimum Requirements High School diploma or equivalent; OR Post High School Diploma Completion of Approved Paramedic Training Program. Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses SC PARAMEDIC SCDL - SC DRIVER S LICENSE:
Valid driver s license and an acceptable five-year motor vehicle record as defined by the Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Chart BCLS - BASIC CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT ACLS - ADV CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - Required within 90 days of hire NPR (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - Required within 90 days of hire In Lieu Of The Minimum Requirements Listed Above In lieu of a SC Driver s License, a valid driver s license, from a state other than South Carolina, may be accepted if primary residence is not SC. The required active South Carolina AND National Registry EMS certification meets the educational requirements for this role. A Provisional SC Paramedic certification meets education and Paramedic certification requirements but are required to obtain conventional South Carolina certification and NREMT certification before the provisional certification expires. Program Structure

Our structured orientation plan with guided education, computer-based training content and precepted time with experienced team members within the same discipline creates a foundation for success. We will provide opportunities of clinical and continuing professional development along with reflective practice sessions to aid in the development of self-care and resilience. Team members will have access to simulation and skill lab experience using current professional curriculum, standards, and evidence-based guidelines

Who leads the Allied Health Program?


Each service line is led by clinical educators with a vast range of experience and expertise in your chosen specialty. All our clinical educators who serve in our programs have a love and a desire to teach. Our educators are integrated into all aspects of the Allied Health. Our programs include Pharmacy, Respiratory, Lab, Therapies, Radiology, Surg techs, and Mobile medicine (EMT).Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
