Responsibilities:
Provides nursing care to critically ill patients diagnosed with Heart attack, defibrillator or pacemaker implant or other cardiac conditionStrokeProficient in performing and interpreting EKGAble to recognize Lethal Dysrhythmias Proficient team member in Cardiac CodeMonitor cardiac and other critical vital signs and detect any changes, thereby enabling intervention of life-threatening or emergency situationsInitiates and revises the patient s plan of care based on continuing assessmentsIncludes patient teaching and discharge planning in overall plan of careIncorporates clinical and technical aspects of care with nursing actions and interventions in accordance with established policies, standards and proceduresDocuments nursing interventions and patient response according to hospital policyEvaluates effectiveness of nursing interventions and methods of implementationPractices within the limits of the state's Nurse Practice Act and health care facility and nursing administrative policiesSupervises ancillary personnel in their performance of assigned job-related dutiesEnsures patient confidentiality and the rights of the patientMaintains and updates skills needed for excellence in patient careAdminister complex Cardiac Medications including titration based on the patient's vital signsEducation& Experience Requirements:
