We are looking for someone to assist our Chief Operations Officer in providing excellent customer service to our company's workforce on a daily basis to ensure questions and requests concerning Human Resources and Employee Benefits receive timely attention and a thoroughly accurate response.
This position is responsible for Creating accurate records to ensure our agency remains compliant with grants and local, State, and Federal laws and responding to all HR-related communications accurately and in a timely fashion.
Preparing materials for onboarding, offboarding, and benefit open enrollment with accurate and timely information.
Assisting COO, CFO, and Senior Finance Assistant with data entered into our third-party HR/Payroll system(s) and assisting applicants, new hires, employees, retirees, and former employees with HR needs and questions and working with COO and third-party benefits administrator to prepare for and execute annual open enrollment programs.
The employee must maintain the privacy of all Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA and other laws related to personal information and must abide by strict confidentiality requirements on and off duty.

This expectation extends beyond the employee's employment period with AID Upstate.
Requirements:
Applicant must be able to (1) type with accuracy; (2) use standard office equipment with proficiency; (3) understand basic filing systems to ensure efficient retrieval (paper and digital); (4) provide above-average customer service to a diverse group of employees and applicants in a culturally appropriate manner and handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality; (5) actively listen with empathy; (6) communicate effectively and confidently with the public; (7) communicate digitally with the public using telephones, mobile phones (calls and texts), computers (email, teams, etc.
), and traditionally--using pen and paper; (8) maintain focus while working in a fast-paced environment; and (9) effectively prioritize daily tasks, interruptions and special projects; (10) have a minimum of 2 years experience working in an office setting; and (11) a minimum associates degree from an accredited program in human resources, business, human services, or similar.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
