Experience:
working directly with an electric utility or an electric utility consulting company, performing design engineering -OR could have:
strong construction background, design work, civil engineering, electrical experience and programming experienceo Must be comfortable in both a field and office settingo Interest in developing construction work packages for the electric distribution system using various software systems and construction standardso Candidate must provide their own reliable transportation (Local customer/job related travel is anticipated and will be ) Day-to-Day A Power Delivery company is looking for a multiple Distribution Design Engineers to join their teamThis engineer will aide in the upgrades of a major energy providers distribution gridsThey will be in charge of scheduling and developing construction plans for the project workThis person will create work packages, create construction plans, bill material and will be in charge of the scope or work scheduleThis person will be in charge of owning their own field work where they will be taking notes, pictures, measurements and will ultimately be in charge of the designing the project construction plansThe work will be developed using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools, Work Management Systems (WMS), and other client systemsThe project work will require performing engineering calculations that may include:
structural analysis of poles, guying, cable pulling, electric demand, transformer sizing, voltage drop and flicker, and coordination of protective devices.
