Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Scheduling:
Utilize P6 scheduling software to develop and maintain project schedules.
Collaborate with project management to ensure accurate and realistic timelines.
Identify and mitigate potential scheduling conflicts and bottlenecks.
Field Operations:
Oversee and coordinate day-to-day construction activities.
Monitor and report on the progress of construction projects.
Implement quality control processes to ensure work meets established standards.
Technical Expertise:
Apply engineering principles to solve complex construction challenges.
Provide technical support and guidance to the project team.
Conduct regular site inspections to assess construction activities.
Communication and Collaboration:
Foster effective communication between project stakeholders.
Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and other team members.
Prepare and deliver concise progress reports and presentations.
Software Proficiency:
Demonstrate proficiency in P6 scheduling software for project planning.
Utilize Microsoft Office suite for documentation, reporting, and data analysis.
Navigate and leverage HCSS for project estimating and management.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure that all construction activities comply with safety regulations and standards.
Implement and enforce safety protocols to minimize risks on the construction site.
Collaborate with the safety team to conduct regular safety audits.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in heavy civil construction projects.
Proficient in P6 scheduling software, Microsoft Office, and HCSS.
Strong understanding of engineering principles and construction processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
