PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS 5 to 15 years' experience in relevant geotechnical engineering projects and/or geostructure design Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering Master's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering PE license in North and South Carolina, or the ability to obtain within 6 months TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Performs geotechnical analysis and prepares engineering calculations, reports, plans, specifications, and other contract documents as applicable.
Provide in-depth technical knowledge and guidance for geotechnical pursuits and geotechnical design and construction applications.
Plan, organize, and manage geotechnical engineering activities for the department to produce reports, drawings, and specifications for all projects within its own office and may have the responsibility to assist other geotechnical engineers at other office locations.
Be capable of demonstrating creativity, foresight, and mature engineering judgment.
Collaborate with the Department Manager and other Department Senior Engineers to determine long-range plans and objectives of the department.
Perform regular client engagement resulting in continually expanding client relationships and opportunities.
Assure that geotechnical engineering services are commensurate with professional standards, client requirements, and company objectives.
Serve as a mentor to promote internal growth within the department.
Participates in proposal presentations and business development activities.
