Greenville, SC Greenville, SC Full-time Full-time From $40,000 a year From $40,000 a year 13 days ago 13 days ago 13 days ago JOB SUMMARY The primary responsibilities of this position are to develop new Customer relationships that drive our growth and success within the Parts group as well as promote parts sales to existing customers through adding and maintaining parts sales programs.
Responsible for market research to uncover new opportunities, handling customer questions and satisfaction issues, prepare proposals, and coordinate with other departments in account management projects.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Promote Carolina's Handling's Product Support services including but not limited to:
Safety-on-the-Move, parts sales and consignments, service contracts, technical training sales, rebuilt motors and control box's, in-shop service and retrofit, the New Equipment and SMARTI programs.
2.
Have a well-rounded working knowledge of the company sales tools, equipment, and company policies.
3.
Cooperate with other Carolina Handling associates and departments in exchanging leads, tips and information, and give assistance when needed.
4.
Provide solutions to customer complaints and requests via the appropriate department(s):
service, sales, parts, rentals, motors, etc.
5.
Develop new and potential accounts while retaining current accounts.
6.
Maintain an accurate database for each account.
7.
Set-up and maintain service and customer consignments.
8.
Oversee and maintain all Parts Consignment accounts in assigned territory.
9.
Respond to all sales leads in an urgent and timely manner.
10.
Provide an annual business plan and obtain approval by respective manager.
11.
Sign Compensation package by April 1st each year, and approved by respective manager.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Conduct on-site investigations and complete all reporting in accident situations.
2.
Help collect overdue invoices as required.
3.
Perform other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 1.
Minimum of three (3) years' selling experience in similar industries with demonstrated expertise in acquiring new business 2.
A demonstrated understanding of a customer's key business drivers 3.
Demonstrate persistence and overcomes obstacles 4.
Highly motivated to achieve challenging goals 5.
College degree strongly preferred 6.
Must have exceptional customer service and communication skills, including ability to read, analyze and interpret technical information and write reports.
7.
Must possess good sales ability to effectively present information, respond to question, solve problems and close sales.
8.
Must be neat and professional in appearance.
9.
Total familiarity with all company product lines and services; basic knowledge of applications, maintenance requirements, operations, inventory control, and computer applications.
10.
Must maintain good driving record in accordance with company policies in order to travel in excess of 75% of the time.
