With one of the largest multimedia air and land permitting and compliance teams in the country, we support client success in manufacturing and industry, liquids delivery and processing, natural gas storage and delivery, power generation and delivery, and transportation projects. POSITION SUMMARY TRC is seeking Wastewater Engineer to join our growing Engineering and Remediation Practice in Greenville, South Carolina. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual looking for career growth and experience in the design and construction of wastewater, environmental remediation, storm water, and/or general industrial and municipal engineering projects. Our engineering staff provide support for permitting, design, and construction of a wide variety of technically challenging projects primarily for industrial, utility, renewable energy, and public sector/private clients. The position focuses on a candidate with the ability to work independently or in a project team with demonstrated excellence in written and oral communications, presentations, analytical, professional judgment, and team building skills. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS Prepare proposals and estimates for various projects Manage projects and support other project managers to include budgets, schedules, and client relations Completing engineering calculations (e., for treatment needs, storm and sanitary sewer design). Regulatory applicability assessments, prepare permit applications, and negotiating proposed permits. May be responsible for multiple projects simultaneously Interpreting data, conducting analyses, comparing findings to regulations to ensure compliance. Communicating with clients and coordinating with regulatory agencies on behalf of clients. Preparing summary reports, technical memoranda and email correspondence. Implementing TRC's safety, quality, and project management programs. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Civil or Environmental Engineering. 10
years of engineering consulting and construction experience. Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within 1 year. General familiarity or experience with federal, state, and municipal wastewater construction and discharge regulations General understanding of biological and physical/chemical wastewater treatment Knowledge of water chemistry and biological treatment Experience with wastewater treatment process design Project management experience preferred Strong technical writing skills Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Possession of a valid driver's license. Working knowledge of health and safety practices. Ability to pass a background check, drug screen and OSHA physical. PREFFERED QUALIFICATIOS:
The following skills and experience a plus:
Professional licensure (PE). Master's degree in Engineering Experience in industrial settings OSHA 40 hr. HAZWOPER certification. Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
Engineering Management, Environmental EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
