Position Objective:
The Order Processing Specialist II will perform the daily function of receiving, reviewing, and entering all order types for Windstream Communications customer orders from sales, indirect, direct and call in orders. Order Processing is responsible for the efficient, accurate and timely processing and must pay close attention to detail for all orders. This responsibility begins with the receipt / delivery through APS (SAT), Controller, ICARE, and Clarify with reviewing the orders and then entering into MSS/ICARE/ASAP. The associate will also work any changes or corrections that the customer may need, require, or request prior to install. Order Processing Associate II will work on the more complex orders (cross-network, NNI, OOF etc.) with Sales, EBSC, SE's and PC's. They will work with these teams if additional information is needed and is found during the order review or when the order is keyed in the system. This position also requires research and trouble shooting problem orders along with working escalations coming in to the department.
Position Activities:
Retrieve orders from Sales systems and verify information from the LERG, Cost Matrix, and Sales Look Up Tool.
Enter all customer orders (News, moves, changes, or disconnects) in an efficient, timely manner, assuring accuracy of customer information.
If order does not meet all requirements, Sales will be engaged to help get information needed. If resolution is not given by Sales or customer, Systems Entry will place the order in the Sales Hold Queue.
To act as a liaison between Sales and Service Delivery.
To assist Sales and Service Delivery with service change requests.
To contact customers when necessary to obtain order information.
To work the rejects from Service Delivery in the different systems orders are keyed in
Cancellation of orders in the different systems the orders are keyed in.
Job Complexity:
Must have a thorough knowledge of all order types, current products, provisioning plans and required paperwork.
Extensive knowledge is required in Controller, SAT, MSS, ICARE, Clarify, and other systems that may be introduced.
Knowledge of legacy Windstream systems and products is preferred.
Skills - Essential and Preferred:
Essential -
1 year of Sales Support/Customer Service experience in the Telecommunications industry is required. Extensive knowledge of Controller, APS, MSS, ICARE, and Clarify
Must be able to problem solve, multitask, prioritize and follow through on multiple projects. Strong interpersonal skills with a positive attitude. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience working directly with Sales and Customers.
Preferred -
Voice and Data telecommunications experience.
Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent and 4
years experience with 3
years directly related to the job. College hours or a college degree may be substituted for some experience as deemed appropriate.
