One of our client's, a growing non-profit in the beautiful city of Greenville, SC, is looking for an Executive Director. The Executive Director will provide leadership and be accountable for achieving performance targets including meeting fundraising and revenue goals, developing and ensuring positive community relationships, partnerships, and internal/external communications.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Executive Director is the face of SCOCF across the State of S. Carolina.
Increase community awareness, programs, activities, and goals of SCOCF, through regular media communications to the Upstate/State.
Community and PR--Assure that SCOCF, its mission, programs, and events are consistently represented in a strong and positive way.
As the chief fundraiser, engage the Board and leadership volunteers to implement identified fundraising strategies. (Identify resource requirements, research funding sources, establish strategies to approach 'funders', submit proposals and administration of fundraising records and documents.)
Work with Treasurer to establish revenue and expense budgets for State Board. Oversee State chapters' budgets.
Prudently manage SCOCF's resources w/in the budget guidelines according to current laws and regulations.
Implement strategic goals and objectives of SCOCF.
Give direction and leadership toward achieving SCOCF's mission, strategy, and annual goals and objectives.
Maintain official records and documents and ensure compliance w/ federal, state and local regulations.
Maintain a working knowledge of ovarian cancer, including significant developments.
Keep Board informed on condition of SCOCF and important factors affecting it.
Conduct official correspondences of SCOCF jointly with designated officers (from BOD) to execute legal documents.
Carry out any additional assignments required to fulfill SCOCF's mission.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
